Two friends of mine, one from the gas company and one from the state who says it’s marked for gas. If dogs are barking or acting strange when you walk them over the sidewalks especially on Washington Street in Somerville, it’s because they’re sensitive to gas leaks and they can tell. That’s a big issue that they aren’t measuring to us.
These photos are of some of the water coming up from below cracks. You can see the blackness at the cracks. That’s like the oily substance that you usually see in your tub. They’ve broken lines below the street and they haven’t even figured it out yet by setting all of that heavy granite on top of it.
They set granite on top of the sewer-drain-water-gas pipes & have caused breaking…(see included photos)…sidewalk hollow & washed out underneath. It’s moved…
The dark stains that you see on the sidewalks is the oily remnants of the dried water mixed together.
In some photos they show markings painted on the sidewalks for sewer & GAS lines below.
If your dog seems a little unhinged when walking over these sidewalks it’s probably because he’s going crazy because they smell gas first if there is a gas leak. Don’t get mad at your dogs, just check everything out.
