Now You See It, Now You Don’t!

They took out the giraffe that was in front of Legoland at Assembly Row to put in a new Rainbow 🌈 colored one! It’s going to be installed soon!

The sad part of it is that in 2017 the giraffe was renamed Geo after a Medford boy who died after battling congenital heart problems. Let’s see if they keep Gio as a name?

2017:SOMERVILLE, MA – Tessie, the 20-foot Lego giraffe outside of Legoland Discovery Center Boston, will officially become Gio at a ceremony next week. The Assembly Row shop recently announced it would rename the giraffe after 6-year-old Giovanni Maggiore, a Medford boy who died in April after battling congenital heart problems.
