GARY’S OBITUARY:
Gary Jeune, age 38, of Medford, MA unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.
Gary Jeune was born in Montreal, Canada on May 11, 1984. Gary was a funny, kind and caring man who lived a vibrant life with friends and family. He had a great love for many hobbies and activities, especially video games and wrestling. Gary attended Medford High School from 1998 to 2002 where he became interested in career pursuits such as sports management and related sciences. After graduating high school, Gary continued to explore career options and work opportunities to further advance his professional life. Eventually, he settled on pursuing a career in engineering in hopes to make a difference for himself and family.
Like many, Gary faced challenges that unfortunately impeded his professional and career pursuits. However, Gary’s desires to overcome and resolve such challenges truly inspired hope. For example, he often confided in close friends and family members about wanting to make an impactful change in this world and be an exemplary uncle to his nieces and nephews. Although Gary did not get the chance to fulfill all of his hopes and dreams, they will continue to be honored by his friends and family.
Gary is survived by his mother, Myrtha Jeune; father, Thony Jeune; sisters Jessica, Fabienne, and Mirlyne (Thoomy) Jeune; brothers, Brendon Jeune and Edwin François; and nieces and nephews, Kahlia Duffy, Kaiden Duffy, Kyrie Jeune, Soleiya Desrosiers, Sebastian Desrosiers, Mikayla Hodges and Mackenzie Hodges.
Visiting Hours will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Friday, March 10th from 4PM to 7PM. Relatives and friends invited to attend. The funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 11th at 10AM at the St. John’s the Evangelist Church, 2254 Massachusetts Ave, North Cambridge, MA. The burial will soon follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery, 230 Playstead Rd, Medford, MA.
A repass will be held at Holy Bible Baptist Church 64 College Ave, Somerville, MA after burial to honor the life of Gary Jeune, who will forever be loved and missed.
