Somerville/Medford Remembering Richard A. Clark

Richard A. Clark, beloved husband of Andrea (Papazoglou) Clark, passed away on Tuesday, February 7th, 2023, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 73. Born in Boston, he is the loving son of the late Charles and Dorothea (Vodden) Clark.

Rick was a long time Somerville resident and graduate Somerville Trade School. A proud United States Navy Veteran, Rick was stationed on the S.S. Simon Lake and was also stationed overseas in Scotland. Rick enjoyed his time in service, when he was discharged from the Navy, he settled back in Somerville and for many years worked for A.F. Fitzgerald Tile until his retirement. Rick worked for Enterprise part time to keep busy. He enjoyed life and family. Rick was an avid bowler and golfer and always had time for television. He could at any time be watching a western, scary movie or any old time black and white shows. Rick was the king of Dad Jokes and exceptional family man. His greatest joy came from being with his family. Always faithful to his wife, children, siblings, nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all and remembered for his ever giving love.

In addition to being the husband and partner of 33 years to Andrea, he is the devoted father of Richard J. Clark, Shaun M. Clark, Adam Miele and his wife Jamie and Samantha Jo Caezza and her husband Nicholas. Loving brother of Edward Clark and his wife Pauline, Deborah Mathien and her husband Richard and the late Charles Clark and his late wife Margaret and the late Ruthann O’Neil and her husband Dave. Cherished grandfather of Logan, Parker and Piper Jo. He is also the loving uncle to many nieces and nephews and grand dad to grandpup Lily Jo.

Funeral Service to be held from the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St., North Reading (Corner of Park St. and Rt. 28 at the Reading Line) on Wednesday, February 15th, 2023 at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrated at St. Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter St., North Reading at 10:30am. Burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

Family and friends are cordially invited to visiting hours at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 14th, 2023 from 4 to 7pm.
