JEROMA “GERRY”‘S OBITUARY
Jeroma M. “Gerry” Capotosto- A lifelong resident of Somerville passed away on Monday July 18, 2022. She was 99.
Born and raised in Somerville to the late Francis “Frank” and Carmela (Pastilli) Macri. Gerry was well known in her neighborhood. She loved sitting on her front porch and talking to her neighbors and meeting new people, and became very popular with all the dogs that passed by and made frequent stops to her porch to get a special dog treat from her. She also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and was very interested and passionate about current events.
She was the beloved wife of 46 years to the late Joseph J. Capotosto. Mother of Robert “Bob” Capotosto and his wife Rachel, devoted daugher Denise Capotosto, and the late Linda Capotosto. Loving grandmother of Joseph Capotosto and his wife Erin, and Lauren Capotosto. The cherished great-grandmother of Joseph, Jake, Liam, Aria and Nicholas. Dear sister of the late Jennie Macri, Josephine “Jo” Macri, Charlie and his wife Sue, Frank and his wife Enis, and Jimmy Macri. She also leaves many loving nieces and nephews.
Calling Hours will be held Friday morning from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway, (Powder House Sq.) Somerville, from 8:30AM to 9:30AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville at 10:00AM.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Services will conclude with Gerry being laid to rest with her beloved husband at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
