Dear Billy T and Somerville/Medford News Weekly Speakup Line,
This Monday morning in Davis Square Somerville directly in front of Chipotle this is what I have to wake up to while on my way to work.
I just called the police on these two .. these kids are not even from around here .. knowing they know Somerville is known as a safe haven for doing drugs so sad ..
Ask any of the current Somerville City Council members where they have been and what they have done in the past decade about this and you will get a blank reaction as always.
This problem has been overlooked and allowed to happen for years. Everyone of our elected officials have always turned a blind eye on Davis Square nd let it happen. Is it maybe because in their eyes Davis Square can do no wrong? Maybe they don’t want to put Davis Square in the spotlight and lose customer attraction? Maybe they just don’t know how to handle it? I would think it’s the latter of the three options.
Now with the new planned safe injection sites on the way into Somerville, this is what every street will look like shortly. Remember to them one fix is never enough. What do you think that they are going to do after released from the safe injection site after their first complementary city of Somerville fix? Of course they are going to crave for more, another fix over and over.
With this young lady in the video, the cops let her go because this city does nothing to open up mental facilities and detoxes ..$13,000 in taxes I pay and DAVIS IS BECOMING A SHIT HOLE …
And they worry about bike lanes .. It’s a joke ..basically you can walk the streets in Somerville with heroin and your ok ..disgusting..
Well it’s sadly been happening years now in Somerville and thus to date none of our city councilors nor mayor have the stones nor know how to combat this problem. I’m hoping in November things will change for the better under new leadership! Hopefully in November it is you!
