On June 10, 2021 the Somerville and State Police assisted several Federal law enforcement agencies in executing an arrest and search warrant at 17 Virginia Street in Somerville. At least one person was arrested for charges of conspiring to distribute heroin and cocaine. This person was a known gang member from Lowell. This is what is going on in our city of Somerville.

Meanwhile, the City Council plans on cutting the police budget and more officers during next week’s Police Budget meeting and Mayor Joe remains silent. Obviously, since he decided not to run for re-election, he has checked out and doesn’t care. The citizens of Somerville need to make sure they have enough officers to respond to their concerns. Some City Councilors who are no longer running for re-election are also silent, following JT Scott, who is leading this charge to cut the police budget, and who they fear. Meanwhile, the City Councilors don’t want the public to know they earn $40,000 thousand dollars a year and are looking for a raise for their part-time positions.

When elected, I will make sure our Police are staffed to respond to your concerns. Don’t be fooled and make sure you vote to support me and our Police Department in November so you don’t become a victim.
