Recently Somerville city officials handed out several bottles of “Blumen Hand Sanitizer” to hundreds of Somerville seniors as a kind gesture/political stunt opportunity. The city distributed the toxic product not knowing that the hand sanitizer is defective and contains undeclared amounts of Methonol and the city is trying to figure out the best way to tell the public without creating a citywide panic.
