Dear Billy T and Somerville/Medford News Weekly Speakup Line,

You did a great job assisting in getting the Salvation Army to get off their ass’s and taking responsibility and cleaning their mess. But now can you help us in Davis Square with the Goodwill Store nightmare?

GOODWILL Davis Square. What a fu&@$!” disgrace. Is this beginning to look like San Francisco?

These photos were taken on Friday at 3:00pm just in time to look at it all weekend!

Thank you!

Update: On the very same day of this article, Somerville DPW Commissioner Steven Maceachern immediately sent DPW crews out and cleaned the mess

  1. Hi – This is James Harder, Director of Communications at Goodwill. Thank you Somerville DPW for cleaning this up. Goodwill does regular pick ups outside our stores to avoid situations like that and we apologize if we didn’t get to this quickly enough. Our stores are still temporarily closed and we would ask that folks please hold onto their donations until after they have reopened. We appreciate your support, but we also want to keep our neighborhoods clean. Thanks again Somerville DPW and we look forward to seeing everyone once our stores have reopened!
