Dear Billy T and Somerville/Medford News Weekly Speakup Line,

The Farmers Market can open in the city of Somerville but restaurants with outside seating cannot open nor barber shops cannot open and neither can all nail salons or restaurants cannot open are you f****** kidding me?

Moreno’s barber shop on lower Broadway is closed so the barbers that normally work there aren’t working in Somerville but their working in Medford instead so they can feed their families.

Come on Somerville let’s get with the program, enough is enough! All this bullcrap so you could have mail in voting not funny!

  1. We are so far behind other cities. All the highly paid elected officials and what have they been doing? And why is it the other cities have already had their training and are working? Because they have some leadership? So our mayor keeps getting his picture in the paper? I see nothing else accomplished here but that. If the businesses would just band together and do the right thing and open according to good safety measures and distancing the right thing would be for them to do it. Impeach the mayor or let him resign would be the two best options to get this city back on track. He is definitely not working for the people of Somerville. And this is clearly a big example of that lack of leadership.
