Father of Slain MIT Police Officer Endorses Marianne Walles for Mayor of Somerville

MARIANNE WALLES WILL HELP SOMERVILLE GROW WITH DIGNITY

I am endorsing Marianne Walles as Somerville’s next mayor. I believe Marianne will help Somerville continue its strong and positive growth and economic development.

She recognizes the need for literacy for our children to be ready for the work force, affordable housing and community involvement to promote relationships to get things done.

I do not support the notion of city debt and financial improprieties. Rather I support moving forward with empowerment, information and involvement with government being more transparent with all our citizens.

Marianne will restore dignity to the mayor’s office where it has completely diminished and political corruption continues to run rampant across the city.

With Marianne Walles as mayor, young police and fire candidates will no longer be illegally bumped off the Somerville Municipal Civil Service Hiring List with intentional politically motivated tampering.

Past practices of these illegal tamperings not only changed the destinies in the lives of so many young candidates as well as caused grief for them and their families, in two cases resulting in death with one of them being my son, Slain MIT Police Officer Sean Collier.

My son had discovered the corruption in the city and had exposed it. But nobody listened to what he had to say. Hopefully things will change now if Marianne is elected.

This city and its residents deserve better with no obstacles causing any further interference in the future path of our youth and the city’s prosperity.

The only way that we can move forward and leave all the corruption behind us is to elect Marianne Walles as mayor of Somerville.

  1. I cannot even fathom the pain that this gentleman feels everyday . So much happened yet nothing was done – it is definitely time for change in this city

  2. She has my vote along with many others who’s eyes are now open more to what has been going on in this city. We now have someone we want to vote for. Finally!!!
