Turn in Unused and Expired Medications on Saturday October 26

Unused prescription medications can become dangerous to those you love and others. Accidental poisoning, overdose, and abuse are among the risks. The majority of teens abusing prescription drugs get them from family and friends — and the medicine cabinet. You can help prevent this by safely disposing of unused medications.

Saturday, October 26, is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. You can anonymously drop off unused and expired medication from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at either the Somerville Public Safety Building, 220 Washington St, or at the Somerville Fire Department, 6 Newbury St. A permanent year-round collections kiosk is also located in the lobby of the Public Safety Building.
