Somerville Arts Council to Wrap Up Event Season With Puppet-Palooza 2019


As its 2019 event season comes to a close, the Somerville Arts Council has one final series of performances up—or should we say on—its sleeve: “Puppet-Palooza 2019: Tales From Around the World.” This five-part series of shows features local, national, and international talent and stories from around the world. Kids and adults alike are invited, and all performances are free. The complete schedule is as-follows:

Sat., Oct. 26, 3-6 p.m.: “Behind the Mask Theater Showcase”at the East Somerville Main St. Halloween Block Party at Chuckie Harris Park
Fri., Nov.1, 6:30 p.m.: Jim Napolitano of Nappy’s Puppets presents “Shadows Around the World” at Connexion, 149 Broadway
Thurs., Nov. 7, 6:30 p.m.: The Brothers Čampur presents “An Evening of Indonesian Shadow Puppet Theater” at Connexion, 149 Broadway
Wed., Nov. 13, 6:30 p.m.: Maggie Whalen of Magpie Puppets presents “Leopard Learns a Lesson” at Connexion, 149 Broadway
Wed., Nov. 20 at 6:30pm Tanglewood Marionettes presents “An Arabian Adventure” – Connexion, 149 Broadway
