Somerville Remembering Retired Somerville Police Officer James W. Brown

Our condolences go out to the family and friends of Officer James W. Brown on his passing this past week.

James was a very nice and well respected gentleman who was friends with many around the city who got to know him during his numerous years of service as a Somerville Police officer.

Officer James W. Brown will be sadly missed here in Somerville.

JAMES’ OBITUARY

James W. Brown – 76, a retired Somerville Police Officer, of Somerville, passed away on October 11, 2018.

Born and raised in Somerville, he was the son of the late James F. and Margaret I. (Murphy) Brown. Beloved husband of the late Rosemary A. (Frongillo) Brown. Devoted father of Rosemary Laliberte and her husband Ian of Everett, Michael Brown of Somerville and the late Linda Brown, James P. Brown and his wife Karen of Woburn and Stephen Brown and his wife Darlene of Billerica. Cherished grandfather of Nicole, Michael, Rachel, Jakob, Lauren, Anthony, Matthew, Leah and Cole. Dear brother of Mary Lee of New Hampshire and the late Elizabeth Pigeon.

A Funeral Service will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Wednesday, October 17th  at 12:00PM. Relatives and friends invited to attend.

Calling Hours prior to the service from 10:00AM to 12:00PM.

Interment will be private.
