Real Life Somerville Police Stories: Bonnie DWYER (Trespass, Disorderly)

On June 7, 2018, I was patrolling area East 2 for the Somerville Police Department. At approximately 09:51, East 3, Ofc. Brioso, and I, were dispatched to 2xx Washington Street (xxxx) for a female, Bonnie Dwyer, who would not leave the property and was yelling. Ms. Dwyer is well known to the Somerville Police Department and has been arrested on numerous occasions for causing disturbances. She was arrested as recently as this week, 6/7/18 (Incident #18033603), after becoming disorderly inside the station and yelling racial slurs at another Somerville Police Officer.

Upon arrival, we discovered Dwyer sitting on the stairs leading to the entrance. Dwyer immediately began yelling and screaming, causing people inside to look out the window. I asked Dwyer to stop yelling numerous times, but she continued her tumultuous behavior. I told Dwyer multiple times that she could not be on the property and that she had been trespassed. After multiple chances and options to leave the premises, Dwyer still refused to leave and continued on a tirade of yelling using various profanities.

At this time, I placed Dwyer under arrest for 272/53/F Disorderly Conduct and 266/120 Trespass.

I spoke to the director of xxxx, XXXX, who stated Dwyer had previously assaulted a staff member on March 4, 2018, leading to her being trespassed.

Respectfully submitted,

Officer Christine Bork
