On Friday, September 21, 2018, I was assigned to marked unit East-4 and on routine patrol. At approximately 1:11 PM, I was dispatched to Home Depot (75 Mystic Avenue) on a report of a shoplifter that was becoming aggressive with loss prevention officers. Officers Soares (E-1) and Reece (A-1) responded as backup.
On September 20, 2018, at approximately 17:15 hours, I was contacted by Kmart Loss Prevention, who sent me a surveillance photo of a suspect who had concealed clothing in a camera blind spot, and fled the store.
