Somerville Remembering Alfred Martins

Our condolences go out to the family and friends of Alfred Martins on his passing.

Mr. Martins was a very nice man who was highly respected as well as a icon here in the city.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Diana, Alfred, Michael and the rest of the Martins family during this time of sorrow.

Alfred Martins will be sadly missed here in Somerville!

Funeral service information and obituary:

Martins, Alfred C. Sr., of Somerville and Sarasota Florida, unexpectedly June 22, 2018 at age 81. Devoted husband of the late Alice (Amaral) Martins. Loving father of Alfred “Al” Martins Jr. and his wife Rosa, Michael “Mike” Martins, Diana Reilly and her husband James and the late George Martins. Cherished grandfather of Alfred “Freddie” Martins III and Natasha Barbosa. Beloved brother of Elvira de Melo, Mary Martins, Mariazinha Ribeiro, Carlos Martins and the late Antonio Martins. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, his best friend Arnold Silva, along with many other loving relatives and friends. Funeral from the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge St., Cambridge on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 9:30 am. Funeral mass at St. Anthony’s Church, 400 Cardinal Medeiros Avenue, Cambridge at 10:30 am. Visiting hours at the Funeral Home on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
