Somerville Rotary Club was honoured to be at the Somerville High School Annual Awards Night. Somerville Rotary granted $2,000 scholarships to two well-deserving outstanding students of Somerville High School.
A brief background on the these high achieving young women, Mei Mei Collins and she will be attending Harvard University in the fall to study Environmental Engineering, while Saja El Saudi will be attending University of Massachusetts, Boston.
The night over $175,000 in scholarships was awarded and a lot of the donors were residences of Somerville looking out for the next generation. Big thanks to Past-President, Paul Kaufman for his hard work every year on the Rotary Educational Fund and to our own Past-Mayor, Gene Brune for his contribution to the SHS Scholarships.
