Our condolences go out to the family and friends of Shirley L. (Ashley) Perreault on her passing.

Shirley L. (Ashley) Perreault was a wonderful lady and she will be sadly missed here in Somerville by the many of us who remember her.

LOWELL – Shirley L. (Ashley) Perreault, 83, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died March 27, 2018 at Lowell General after a long illness. She was the widow of Robert G. Perreault who died in 2004.

Shirley was born in Lowell, Oct. 18, 1934, daughter of the late Leslie & Nora (Lemire) Ashley.

She was a dedicated mother devoted to raising her family.  She was a parishioner of the former St. Louis de France Church.  She enjoyed traveling, bingo, and watching Westerns on TV.

She is survived by her four daughters and three sons-in-law, Rita Larrabee of Medway, Roberta & Richard Crosby of Reading, Linda & Thomas St.Pierre of Lowell, Elaine & John Banacos of Merrimack, NH; three sons and a daughter-in-law, James & Andonella Perreault of Lowell, Leo Perreault of Maine, Daniel Perreault of Lowell; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Henry Ashley of VA and Albert Ashley of Plaistow, NH; also many nieces, nephews and dear friends.  She was mother-in-law of the late Robert Larrabee; grandmother of the late Daniel Banacos; and was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty and Noni.

ARRANGEMENTS – Relatives & Friends will be received on Monday April 2, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the M.R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell, MA 01854. Funeral Tuesday morning with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 AM at Ste. Marguerite D’Youville Parish, 1340 Lakeview Ave., Dracut, MA 01826.  Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford.  IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, donations in her memory may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society ATTN: St. Marguerite D’Youville Parish, 1340 Lakeview Ave., Dracut, MA 01826.
