Letter to the Editor:Somerville WATER and SEWER BILL ISSUES Anyone?

I’d like some feedback from residents dealing with unexplained hikes in water bills. My bill doubled this quarter. $875 to $1700

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

  1. My water bill is going to prevent me from recycleing due to the washing out of all containers. until the $60.00 comes off all my invoices for water I will no longer recycle. Take the money you spent on benches & flower pots on Broadway and put it towards the water. The citizens use the flower pots for their rubbish.

  2. Ed I’m sorry to hear that you’re leaving Somerville. I wish you would stay and join us in pushing back and exposing their underhanded tactics that have been going on for far too long.

I just sent Bill a complete story on this topic and about the details of the shady practices involving zoning, planning, the inscestuous conflict of interest, nepotism and rampant condo building that’s going on around the city.

Please reconsider your decision to leave. There are many of us that are equally as unhappy with the mayor and current administration. We are taking a stand to expose them.

If you still decide to go, know that I wish you the very best and completely understand.

    Take care, Judy

  3. Yes, my bill went from an average of $100/month to almost $170/month with no explanation. Just another reason I’m selling out and moving.
