Teamsters Local 25 President Sends Tufts CEO Strong Message Teamsters Will Honor Tufts RN Picket Line

This letter from Teamsters Local 25 President Sean O’Brien to Tufts CEO Dr. Michael Wagner says that members of Local 25 will honor the Tufts RN picket line if a strike is necessary, and any subsequent lock out by Tufts.
“Each day, Local 25 members deliver parcels, freight, medical supplies, equipment, linens, pick up trash and shuttle patients to Tufts Medical Center. The services Teamsters provide, although not directly involved with patient care, are an important element of ensuring that Tufts Medical Center operates smoothly. It is my sincere hope that the management team at Tufts Medical Center reconsiders its position and negotiates fairly for the benefit of both members of the Massachusetts Nurses Association and the patients they have dedicated their careers to care for.”

  1. Thank you so much to the Teamsters….Tufts Medical Center has been putting profits before patients for far too long. This is an issue that is going to affect all of us, not just union nurses.
