Seniors at Cobble Hill Apartments were treated to a hearty barbecue lunch and a giant cake by State Rep Tim Toomey who is currently running for re election. Steak, chicken, sausage, along with rice was the on the menu and great conversation was had about the many issues facing seniors and how Tim has and will address these issues on the state level. Many of those in attendance have know Tim over the years and have seen the progress he has made in making things better for elders and remarked that he is quick to return a phone call and often does so personally. Many new residents including many that have just become citizens got to talk with Rep Toomey about the issues in their community. A few people registered to vote as well and were excited to become part of the process to have a say in their government and choice of who will represent them. The afternoon ended with a giant cake and a lot of smiles between neighbors and old and new friends.
