Elena Reed went missing – intentionally – a year ago.
Now she’s ready to stop running, but will need the help of private investigator Jason Pierce if she hopes to put a dangerous past behind her and live the normal existence she longs for but has been denied.
Elena and Jason’s adventure – and the unexpected romance that blossoms between them – are revealed in Ashley Stoyanoff’s novel, “Two Truths and a Lie” (www.ashleystoyanoff.com), the first title in her new PRG Investigations series.
Readers will be swept up in a well-crafted tale that begins with a less-than-promising meeting between the anxious Elena and the coolly confident Jason, and then hurtles headlong toward an edge-of-the-seat ending.
Stoyanoff, who has written paranormal romances before, is excited about blending the romance and private-investigator genres this time.
“On one hand, I wanted to write a sweet, straightforward romance,” says Stoyanoff, who specializes in romance novels for young adult and new adult readers. “But I think the added element of the mystery and Elena’s desperate situation work to give ‘Two Truths and a Lie’ an edge that both romance readers and mystery readers will appreciate.
“Plus, I just like private investigators.”
Jason Pierce is joined in his investigative work by his handsome, charismatic partners. They play supporting roles here, but are ready to take on leading-man chores as Stoyanoff adds new titles to the PRG Investigations series.
