On Monday evening, dozens of friends, relatives and fellow co-workers came out to honor and pay tribute to a man who spent forty years of his life working in the best interest of public safety for the community at the Somerville Court House.
Assistant Clerk Magistrate Joe Riley was honored at his retirement party banquet at Spinelli’s Function Facility that’s located on Route 1 in Lynnfield for providing 40 dedicated years of service doing the job that he loved.
At the event there were sitting judges, retired judges, police officers, elected officials and friends who all came out to show their overwhelming appreciation for Joe Riley.
Speeches and citation presentations were made by elected officials and judges as well as a retirement gift presentation of a custom-made rocking chair from the attending invited guests to the retiring assistant court magistrate.
