Naveo Credit Union raises over $2,200 for Boston Children’s Hospital through the Miracle Jeans Day initiative

(Somerville, MA) For the fifth consecutive year, Naveo Credit Union participated in the Miracle Jeans Day initiative to raise funds for Boston Children’s Hospital, the local Miracle Network hospital. During the month of September, Naveo joined hundreds of organizations and raised over $2,200 from employees and members. Naveo then matched the employee donations.
The Miracle Jeans Day collection, which took place during the month of September, allowed Naveo employees to trade in their business attire for jeans in exchange for a donation to Boston Children’s Hospital. Throughout the donation period, branches were equipped with canisters to collect donations from members.

“Miracle Jeans Day has come to be an annual fundraiser our employees and members look forward to participate in. Our members were extremely generous this year, making it our biggest collection thus far. We are proud and happy to support such a heartwarming cause which directly impacts the children in our local community,” commented Rui Domingos, Chief Executive Officer of Naveo Credit Union.

Miracle Jeans Day is a fundraising and awareness initiative for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals to fund life-saving medical research for the treatment of their patients. The initiative is credited with raising over $4 million since 2009 to fund life-saving medical needs at 170 hospitals throughout the country. Naveo has collected nearly $10,000 in the five years of participation.
