MARY LOUISE RIDDLE Arrest
The following is a brief summary pertaining to Incident #15048602:

Members of the Somerville Police Department Drug Control Unit initiated a drug investigation of Ms. Mary Riddle and her alleged role in the ongoing distribution of Suboxone. During this investigation, an undercover officer, hereinafter referred to as “UC”, was introduced to Ms. Riddle. UC and Ms. Riddle met for an undercover buy on August 29, 2015 where Ms. Riddle sold UC nine orange Suboxone tablets and one Suboxone sublingual film strip.

At the conclusion of this drug investigation, a search warrant application was requested by me at the Somerville District Court on Thursday, September 30, 2015. The search warrant (1510-SW-0067) was granted by the court authorizing the search of the following:

#1- The residence of 480 Mystic Avenue, Somerville, MA 02145 (search warrant docket # 1510SW0067).

#2- The person of Mary Riddle, (search warrant docket # 1510SW0067).

On Thursday, October 1, 2015, Sergeant Dan Rego along with detectives Doug Brioso, Guerdy Legros, Michael Capasso, and I set up surveillance around the area of 480 Mystic Avenue in anticipation of an undercover purchase from Ms. Riddle. Also waiting nearby was marked unit East-4, Officer Canty. At 11:43 A.M., UC began to text Ms. Riddle to purchase Suboxone tablets/strips. UC stated, “Hey, u got the 20 Oranges. I can meet u in about an hour.” Riddle replies, “ok.” UC states, “Same place??” Riddle replies, “Ok.” Ms. Riddle explains to UC to text her when they arrive at the store.

At approximately 12:30 P.M. the UC vehicle was seen entering the parking lot of Central Convenience Store. UC radioed to the surveillance units that he had just text Ms. Riddle stating that they had arrived at the store. UC stated that he had just placed a text message to Ms. Riddle stating they had just arrived at the lot of the Central Convenience Store which is located adjacent to 480 Mystic Avenue. I would note, this is the same meet location of the first UC buy. Within a minute, observations were made of Ms. Riddle exiting her residence and walking over to meet UC who was sitting in a vehicle. Ms. Riddle entered the vehicle and exited within one minute. Ms. Riddle then began to walk back towards her residence. At this time, Detectives approached and stopped Ms. Riddle with our badges clearly displayed on our outermost garment. Ms. Riddle began to scream and yelled, “NO, NO, I knew I shouldn’t have did it.” Ms. Riddle was placed into custody at this time. Ms. Riddle was then shown a copy of the search warrant, docket # 1510SW0067. I read Ms. Riddle her rights pursuant to Miranda from a card I keep in my wallet. Ms. Riddle stated she understood all her rights.

Ms. Riddle walked us into her apartment by using a key she had on her person. I asked Ms. Riddle if she had anything in her pockets. Ms. Riddle replied, “Just the two hundred I just got from out there.” Officer Catatao arrived on scene and gave Ms. Riddle a pat frisk for weapons and searched for contraband. In Ms. Riddles right pant pocket was two hundred dollars in twenty dollar bill denominations that were marked pre UC buy. During a search of the residence, an amount of Suboxone sublingual strips were found along with monies and other items.

Ms. Riddle was transported to Somerville Police Headquarters via marked unit 200, Officer Ducasse, where she was booked in the usual manner by Lieutenant DiGregorio.

Respectfully submitted,

Detective Fernando Cicerone #279
