Somerville Police Department Saturday’s Prescription Take Back Day

Keep unused or expired medication out of the wrong hands by properly disposing of it at this Saturday’s Prescription Take Back Day.
Stop by the Public Safety Bu…ilding, 220 Washington St., from 10am to 2pm to dispose of unwanted medication. Kids can tour a fire truck from 10 to 11:30 and the Somerville Police Department will be on hand to help install car seats. $5 Dunkin Donut gift cards will be handed out on a first come, first served basis to anyone dropping off medication.
You can drop off medication in pill form on Prescription Take Back Day or any day (24/7) at a kiosk located in the lobby of the public safety building by removing any personal information from pill bottles (please leave the name of the medication on) and putting them in a plastic bag. Liquid medications can be mixed with a non-edible substance like cat litter or sawdust in a plastic bag and placed in your regular trash.
