The NY & NJ Snow Relief Cavalry Have Arrived in Somerville

It’s not the NY Yankees nor the Giants, it’s the New Jersey and New York Departments of Public Works to the rescue with an army of backhoes, front end loaders, dump trucks and snow removal equipment that arrived from the states of New York and New Jersey this past Thursday

Its part of a relief effort by the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency ( MEMA) to help out with Somerville’s cleanup efforts during the massive snowstorms.

The equipment will be joining the Somerville Department of Public Works to help clear our major streets and intersections to prepare for more snow that’s on the way.
