Elect Erin DiBenedetto 34th Middlesex District State Representative

Erin DiBenedetto, Medford School Committee member and candidate for State Representative announced today the endorsement of the Somerville Labor Coalition – a group representing over six-hundred employees in the City of Somerville.

“Erin is a no nonsense Democrat that will work hard to support all workers’ rights. She recognizes that it is the
unions that are working hard to preserve the middle class. She understands that meaningful collective bargaining should be a fundamental right for all workers. She shares the value that people who keep our cities safe, clean and in good order should be treated with respect,” said the Somerville Labor Coalition in a release.

“Erin DiBenedetto embodies the spirit of a true advocate of the working class. It is no surprise Her tireless community involvement and experience make her a great choice to send to Beacon Hill.” they continued.

A coalition of local unions in Somerville, the Somerville Labor Coalition is comprised of hundreds of hard working union members representing Somerville firefighters, municipal employees, school custodians, police patrolmen, 911 operators, crossing guards and police superior officers.

“I am proud and humbled to be endorsed by such a great organization like the Somerville Labor Collation,” said DiBenedetto. “I am in this race to represent the hard working people of Somerville and Medford and the SLC is a tireless advocate for their members. I look forward to working with them to protect working families in our community and across the Commonwealth.”

DiBenedetto is a current member of the Medford School Committee and a Democratic candidate for State Representative for the 34th Middlesex District. A former resident of Somerville and graduate of Saint Clement High School, DiBenedetto currently lives in Medford with her husband and children.

Thank you.
