The New Assembly Row MBTA Station Soon To Open

It wasn’t that long ago when naysayers used to dismiss the idea of building a new Orange Line stop in Assembly Square with the words, “I’ll believe it when I see it.” Well, before August ends you’ll actually be able to get on a train at Assembly Station. First new T station since 1987. Somerville, pat yourselves on the back, because we did that.

Somerville Iron Works Making it Legal at Assembly Square
Workers at Somerville Ornamental Iron Work INC, are preparing the last piece of steel which will be the arch for “Legal on The Mystic at Assembly.”
This is a 20′ foot curved arch of steel which will be erected next week at the new Legal Sea Food Restaurant thats going to soon be located at Assembly Square in Somerville.
Somerville Ornamental Iron Work INC of Somerville, was started by Tony LoRusso in 1969.
In 1996.
His son Elio LoRusso took over the day to day operations and now with nine employees, the majority who are local employees, who’s works of art spreads across New England.
The vast majority of their work varies from a typical residential rail to commercial structural build outs.
