Ed served the City of Somerville with pride and distinction. Ed always welcomed you with a warm smile and firm handshake. He was a great person loved by his brother and sister officers, family and friends. He will be missed – but never forgotten. Deputy Chief Michael S. Cabral

  1. I knew Eddie from back in the 80’s. He was always a gentleman and one of the nicest guys I’ve met. We will miss him. My condolences to the family.

  5. My cousin Eddie. In the past few years he travelled a lot; thought about moving to Florida; but he told me Somerville would always be his home! He’ll be missed by so many.

  6. Thank you mr. Edward Sullivan for your long time service to our city. I respect and Honer every police officer here and all your peers all over the country. We are well protected and knowing this job includes everything from domestic disputes, accedents, drugs, guns, and every kind of law breakers I personaly am very gratefull of all the calls you have responded to in controlling life threatning situations. R.I.P. Officer Sullivan.

    A memorial service will be held in his honor at Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway, Somerville, MA Friday, July 11th, 4-7PM
