Obituary
George R. Famolare of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, FL, formerly of Arlington, MA, passed away on November 12, 2025, surrounded by family. He was the cherished husband of the late Susan P. Famolare and beloved father of Michelle Casey and her husband Jay of Medford, MA, Maria Salanitro of Laconia, NH, and the late Mark Famolare. He was a devoted grandfather to Michaela and Olivia Casey, Nicholas and Brianna Salanitro, and Mark Famolare, Jr. George was the loving son of the late Nancy and Alexander Famolare.

George was a proud lifelong member of the Arlington community. A dedicated entrepreneur and landlord, he and his wife Susan founded Marchelle Coiffeures, known today as Marchelle Salone. He treasured his summers on Lake Winnipesaukee and his winters in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, always seeking out warm weather, sunshine, and good company.

George will be fondly remembered for his impeccable style, his tireless work ethic, his love of fine dining, and above all, the deep devotion he had for his family and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Funeral Mass at St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, MA, on Monday, November 24th at 11:00. Calling hours will be in the Church, Monday morning from 10:00 – 11:00. Interment will be private.
