Boston Comedy Festival Returns 25th Year of Laughter and Unforgettable Performances

Boston, MA – [Date] – The Boston Comedy Festival is back, bringing together some of the best comedians from across the country for a week of non-stop laughter. Set to take place from April 1 to April 5, this year’s festival promises to deliver unforgettable performances, legendary headliners, and the rising stars of stand-up comedy.

Now in its 25th year, the Boston Comedy Festival has built a reputation as one of the premier comedy events in the country, showcasing both established comedians and emerging talent. With performances happening at multiple iconic venues across the city, audiences can expect a diverse mix of stand-up, improv, and special events celebrating the art of comedy.

“This year’s festival is going to be absolutely incredible,” said Helen DiMarzio, Festival Producer. “Boston has such a deep-rooted comedy scene, and I couldn’t be more excited to bring together some of the funniest comedians!”

The festival kicks off with a special show at City Winery on March 29 featuring Brooks Wheelan.

Highlights of this year’s festival include:

A star-studded lineup featuring nationally renowned comedians and local favorites, including Michael Kosta, Eddie Pepitone, Amy Miller, Corey Rodrigues, and Trixx
The highly anticipated Boston Comedy Festival Stand-Up Competition, featuring a 72-comic field battling for a $7,000 grand prize, delivering razor-sharp wit and high-energy performances before a live audience and esteemed judges. Past winners and finalists have gone on to headline theaters, land Netflix specials, and dominate late-night TV—including Nate Bargatze (Netflix, The Tonight Show), Marc Normand (Netflix, Conan, Joe Rogan Experience), Joe List (Netflix, The Tonight Show), Learnmore Jonasi (Steve Harvey’s Stand Up Spotlight, AGT), Dan Boulger (The Late Late Show), and Kelly MacFarland (Comedy Central, The View).
The Contest Finals on April 5 at the Somerville Theatre, featuring Lifetime Achievement Award winner Bill Gardell and Comedian of the Year Ryan Hamilton

The festival will culminate in a grand finale event on Saturday, April 5th, where the winner of the stand-up competition will be crowned and special guests will take the stage for an unforgettable night of comedy.
