Obituary

Rodman W. Hanson, of Methuen and formerly of Somerville, Charlestown and Malden, passed away surrounded by family on January 3, 2025, he was 87.

Born and raised in Malden he was the son of the late Elva M. Hanson.

 Beloved husband of 59 years to the late Dorothy (Guilfoyle) Hanson, he was the devoted father of Mark W. Hanson, Steven R. Hanson and Kenneth J. Hanson, Linda M. McGuine and Karen D. Hanson. Cherished grandfather to many loving grandchildren.

Calling Hours will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Tuesday, January 7th from 4PM to 7PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm Street, Everett, on Wednesday morning at 9AM all are welcome to attend and are asked to meet inside the main gate with parking available behind the chapel.

 Mr. Hanson proudly served in the National Guard for six years and was a retired employee of Revere Sugar Co.
