Obituary
Ida (Colozzi) Ceraso – Of Somerville, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024, at the age of 89. She was born in Gaeta, Italy to of the late Antonio and Palmira (DiMillie) Colozzi.
Ida’s love for cooking and baking was well-known, and her kitchen was always filled with the comforting aromas of delicious meals she made with care and love. She found great joy in spending time with her family, and her home was a gathering place for those she cherished most. Ida also enjoyed listening to music throughout her life.
Above all, Ida loved her family deeply, and she was a constant source of love and support to those she held dear. Her kind heart and warm spirit will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Antonio S. Ceraso. Devoted mother of Patricia Schwanbeck and her husband Torsten of Rye, NH and the late Frank Ceraso of North Andover. Cherished grandmother of Marc Schwanbeck and his wife Andrea, Nicholas Ceraso, and Isabel Ceraso. Dear sister of Salvatore Colozzi and his wife Joanne of GA, and the late Elisa Spinosa, and Tina Corretti. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 26 in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville at 11:00AM. Please meet directly at church.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
