Obituary

Tomlinson, Doris- Of Somerville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 8, 2024. She was 99 years young.

Born in Lowell and raised in Somerville. She was the beloved daughter of the late John and Florence (Hoxie) Tomlinson. Doris was a teacher for 36 years and taught first and second grade at the Brown and Hodgkins Schools. She was a Sunday school teacher and coached the church league basketball.

The beloved daughter of the late John and Florence (Hoxie) Tomlinson. The cherished longtime friend of Audrey Schwartz and her husband George Christin of Medford and their daughters Jessica and Erica.

Calling Hours will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) on Sunday, February 11, 2024, from 11:00AM to 12:00PM. Followed by a prayer service at 12:00PM.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Services will conclude with a private burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
