A woman whose husband died on Thanksgiving day, is bereft not only because of her and her family’s great loss, but at the beginning of
December, the Social Security monthly check of her husband was withdrawn, instead of hers which was smaller and her bank of more than twenty years closed his account with no notice.

She called a Social Security number, but they would do nothing.
Now, she must call again this early week of December to get an appointment with the Social Security Office in Cambridge next week. By then, it will be the middle of this month. This neglect is most unusual.

As December will go along swiftly, this woman must suffer through the holidays with a sheer lack of funds for bills, rent, food, shopping, and the usual celebrations.

Under normal conditions, She would have enjoyed their anniversary together this month, and her husband’s birthday, plus Christmas and New Year’s.

The Social Security Department must be sued. Like everything else going on in our government departments, this is a joke given by a dumbed-down government department with no
conscience, hurting citizens who have worked and paid taxes all of their lives.
