SOMERVILLE, MA, ISSUED APRIL 21, 2022…If you are a fan of the Jalapeno Margarita, you can indulge your taste and help contribute to a worthy cause all at the same time.
Daddy Jones Bar and Restaurant (http://daddyjonesbar.com), a lively restaurant offering outdoor dining, casual Greek food and burgers, and which has served the Somerville community since 2012, is running a fundraiser this month to benefit the Somerville High School Track Parent and Alumni Club, at their restaurant located at 525 Medford Street.
Here’s how it works. From now through the end of April, every time a patron orders a Jalapeno Margarita, the restaurant will donate $2 from the sale of the drink to the Somerville High School Track Parent and Alumni Club.
The cause is near and dear to Daddy Jones owner Dimitra Murphy, who is a Somerville native and was both a team member and a coach for the Somerville High School Track Team.
“We are always looking for new and creative ways to support our community,” she said, noting that the restaurant is open to suggestions for other charities to help via fundraising efforts such as this one. People are invited to submit inquiries via email, email@example.com or direct messaging on Instagram, DaddyJonesBar.
In addition to exceptional dining, Daddy Jones Bar & Restaurant offers evening entertainment including Bingo on Tuesdays, Karaoke on Wednesdays, and Trivia on Thursdays.
Murphy adds, “Come for dinner and stay for our entertainment. And if by chance you are a Jalapeno Margarita fan, help us support a great local organization!”
Dinner is served from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and to 8 p.m. on Sundays. Daddy Jones also offers weekend Coffee Shop services and anticipates opening their patio for outdoor dining in the near future. And for those who prefer take-out, they can order online.
