The committee, chaired by the City’s Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Frances N. Nwajei, will be tasked with organizing, planning and implementing the festival which celebrates and honors Medford’s LGBTQ community. “This is a wonderful opportunity for people of all backgrounds to get involved in planning a truly historic event in Medford,” Mayor Lungo-Koehn said. “We raised the PRIDE flag last year but recognize that to celebrate this vibrant community requires a greater and more thoughtful effort—and I know this festival will be an amazing event for the entire City.”
