Somerville/Medford Remembering Marie D. (Belliveau) Laidler

Laidler, Marie D. (Belliveau) of Medford, formerly of Somerville, passed away Monday, January 31, 2022 at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital. She was 94.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Donelda (MacDonald) Belliveau.
Marie had an unwavering faith in God and never missed a mass. She had an uncanny ability to recall dates and facts, especially about her family. Her family was where she focused all her love and attention. Marie enjoyed travel, shopping and the occasional trip to the casino. Later in life, she enjoyed the simple pleasures of routine, sweets, looking after her furbabies and listening to Elvis.
Marie was the beloved wife of 49 years to the late Henry J. Laidler. She was the devoted mother of Maureen Almeida of Medford and her fiancé Francis O’Leary of Dracut. Loving grandmother of Richard Almeida and his wife Paula and the caring great-grandmother of Katherine and Timothy Almeida. Dear sister of the late Charles Belliveau and his wife Jeanne and Phyllis Millar and her husband Robert. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews
Funeral procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Tuesday, February 8TH at 8:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St. Medford at 9:30 AM.
Relatives and friends are invited.
Calling Hours Monday February 7th from 4 PM to 7 PM.
Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Marie’s name to a charitable organization of your choosing.
