JAMES’ OBITUARY

James “Jimmy” K. O’Brien, of Somerville, passed away on July 17, 2021, he was 66. Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Mary (Mountain) and Francis O’Brien.
He was the beloved husband of 43 years to Iona (Hughes) O’Brien. Devoted father of Eric O’Brien and his wife Emily and Dallas O’Brien and his girlfriend Jazmin Wallace, all of Somerville. Loving “Pops” to his 6-month-old grandson, Emric O’Brien and his grandpup Kopi. Dear brother of Louise Maxwell and her husband Chuck of Tewksbury. Cherished uncle of Chuckie Maxwell and wife Nikki. Son-in-law of George and Susanne Hughes and brother-in-law of Joe, Mark, Keith and Kenneth Hughes.
Jimmy was an owner/distributor of Arnold Bread for many years, he enjoyed following all things sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys and Boston Red Sox. Above all, he was devoted to his family.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford Street, Somerville on Saturday, August 21st at 10:30AM. Relatives and friends invited to attend.
