This past Saturday morning, Somerville Police officers responded to an automobile accident of a car that crashed into the Prospect Hill Academy Charter School building located at 25 Webster Avenue in Somerville.

Somerville Police officers who arrived first on scene immediately began to assist the operator keeping him calm standing by with fire extinguishers in the event the automobile were to burst into flames before Somerville fire rescue crews arrived.

The accident involved one vehicle. Witnesses at the scene stated that the driver ran off the road before crashing into the building. Somerville Firefighters used the jaws of life to extract the uninjured operator.

No injuries were reported.
