Meet this week’s “Special Person of the Week:
Jack Connolly, who was born, raised, lives, and works in Somerville continues to
achieve positive progress in all things Somerville. He knows the importance of public
transportation. Jack worked on the expansion of the Red Line, a vital link in the Davis
Square revitalization and will carry this same commitment to the expansion of the Green
and Orange lines. Jack Connolly works hard for Somerville and its citizens and will
continue to listen and to act.
His political views are inspired by his life experiences. He grew up in Somerville, MA
with the support of two loving parents and four siblings. Jack was taught that
achievement requires hard work and dedication; he carries these lessons with him today.
He is a husband and father of three girls whom he raised in Somerville as well as a
Somerville business owner. Somerville is the way of Jack’s life.
Having worked for the City of Somerville for many years, he has taken a proactive
approach to problem solving with a belief in progressive policies and a knowledge that
strong schools strengthen our community.
Our hats are off to his true Somerville spirit!
We here at the Somerville News Weekly salute you for everything that you do to make Somerville a better place.
Congratulations!
Please Consider John M. “Jack” Connolly for one of your 4 votes for Somerville
Councilor At Large on Tuesday November 5th.
I think Somerville voters have a choice and opportunity this election to make some change. Many residents have been complaining about a significant amount of issues affecting them.
Now is the opportunity to bring some change to the City Council and elect an individual has the experience having represented the Davis Square area and city as a whole for years.
Unfortunately Jack may have had some missteps during his previous time as an Alderman. I firmly believe he has realized where he had made some mistakes and will work to protect the families and residents of Somerville.
Jack Connolly’s has the passion, conscience and fight to provide a more transparent leadership role in our city. Its unfortunate that in the past two years we have experienced a divide in our community.
We need a leader who will listen and notify residents about issues and ensure our voices are heard.
One of the three votes I will be casting for City Councilor At Large will be to RETURN JACK CONNOLLY as our City Councilor
Thank you Jack. And to let people know don’t be surprised to see Jack out working for the restore broadway movement. He has seen the merit in this and hopefully with his long career he can help us to fix a now broken Winter Hill. You have my vote. Arthur Moore
