Somerville Lions Club Inducts New Member and Donates To Two Local Organizations

Congratulations to Vince Beaudet for becoming the Somerville Lions Club’s newest lion.
Beaudet was sworn in last Tuesday at the Mount Vernon Restaurant In Somerville by Lions District 33K Zone Chair Ken King.

Also that evening the Somerville Lions Club Secretary Formor Somerville Mayor Gene Brune on behalf of the Somerville Lions Club presented two check presentations to local organizations.

The first check donation was presented to Somerville Pop Warner Vice President Marsha Hamel McGlashing and Board Member Amberrose Osiris who accepted the donation on behalf of Somerville Pop Warner to help out with their amazing sports youth organization programs that they provide for our Somerville children.

A second check donation was presented to newly sworn in Somerville Lions Club President/ Somerville Overcoming Addiction Spokesperson Joann Bocca- Rivieccio on behalf of Somerville Overcoming Addiction to help continue the organization’s great work to do the wonderful things that they do in the community. Joann is also on this year’s ballot as a candidate for Somerville City Council.
