On Saturday, August 31, 2019, at approximately 7:00 P.M while assigned to the Bravo Unit with Officer Brian Pavao, we observed a red Ford Taurus with no license plates attached, travelling East on Broadway (public way in the city of Somerville).
We stopped the vehicle at the intersection of Broadway and Glen Street. We approached the operator, requested his license and registration and informed him of the reason of the stop.
While talking to the operator, we observed two children in the back seat, ages five and six, not wearing safety belts.
The operator identified himself as Jimmy PADILLA D.O.B xxxxxx. I queried the name and D.O.B provided by the operator and found no record matching.
I placed the operator under arrest for operating a motor vehicle without a license. He was transported to the Somerville Police Headquarters via unit 200, operated by Officer DaCostsa, and booked by Lieutenant DiGregorio.
During the booking process, the defendant was identified as Frank PADILLA D.O.B xxxxxx. A query of his name showed that he had an outstanding felony warrant out of Maricopa County, Arizona.
Officer Ducasse contacted the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office to confirm the warrant and was informed that they will start the rendition process on Tuesday 09/03/2019.
PADILLA was charged with the following:
– Fugitive from justice c.276 S20B
– Unlicensed operation of MV c.90 S10
– Unregistered motor vehicle c.90 S9
– Uninsured motor vehicle c.90 S34J
– Number plate violation c.90 S6
– Failure to wear seat belt c.90 S13A
– Child under 6 without car seat c.90 S7AA
– Child 6-12 without seat belt c.90 S7AA
The vehicle was towed from the scene by Pats tow.
Respectfully submitted,
Officer Samir Messaoudi #312
