Meet this week’s “Special Person of the Week:David Américo Ortiz Arias

Our hearts and prayers go out to Formor Boston Red Sox Slugger David Ortiz for a speedy recovery.

David Ortiz was shot in the back this past Sunday evening in his home country of Santa Domingo and since then has been airlifted to Boston’s Mass General Hospital to be treated.

David Américo Ortiz Arias, nicknamed “Big Papi”, is a Dominican-American former Major League Baseball designated hitter and first baseman who played 20 seasons, primarily with the Boston Red Sox. He also played for the Minnesota Twins.

We salute you for everything that you have done to make this world a better place!
