A local mom’s group affiliated with MADD to hold standout in front of South Middlesex Registrar of Deeds Maria Curtatone’s home later this spring in outrage over her Underaged Drunkfest that she hosted last spring.

Well it’s coming up on the one year anniversary of South Middlesex County Registrar of Deeds Maria Curtatone’s underaged drunkfest that took place last June 21st of 2018 where an assault and a stabbing took place and a local moms group is looking for answers.

Julian Martins, organizer of the protest said that “Nobody should be allowed to get away with this no matter who they are and yes we will make sure she’s held accountable.” Martins also stated “Let’s see her brother the mayor get her out of this one because we would love to put an obstruction of justice charge on him as well!”

Martins also stated that “Parents are pivotal in the fight against underage drinking. Teens are much less likely to drink if their parents say it is “totally unacceptable.”

“Young people who get a strong message from their parents that any underage drinking is totally unacceptable are far less likely to drink before they’re 21 than kids who don’t get such a clear message,” Martins says.

Martins referring to South Middlesex Registrar of Deeds Maria Curtatone, sister to Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone who is amid allegations that she hosted an underage drinking party at her home located on Munroe Street that spilled out to the lawn of the Prospect Hill Tower and turned into a bloody brawl with over a hundred fighting teenagers on that spring of 2018 Thursday night.

The party lasted into the early morning hours of Friday morning resulting in an early morning stabbing with multiple blue lights flashing, screaming teens, teams of police units frantically searching the scene with barking K-9 dogs.

According to witnesses at the scene, dozens of State and local police were called in with K-9 units at about 12:59AM to breakup the party of screaming out of control teens with music blaring that involved over two hundred out of control party-going intoxicated youths.

Since that night, incriminating witness social media video’s have surfaced exposing the underaged youths at the event with evidence of showcasing alcohol beverages on the Curtatone premises.

There are also questions being raised regarding a reported paid Somerville Police detail that was supposedly on site that evening. Residents are concerned regarding different versions of what happened with the police detail. Their concerns raised question why the police detail officer didn’t file a report and whether or not he was there at all in the first place and whether or not he collected from his paid detail if he wasn’t there.

To date there have been no arrests, no suspects and no comment regarding the incident from city officials.

Registrar Maria Curtatone was not available for comment nor were Somerville Police reports available revealing the circumstances of events regarding the party or medical condition status of the stabbing and assault victims.

It is unclear right now if Middlesex Registrar of Deeds Maria Curtatone provided any alcohol for the teens or if she will be facing any charges.

It is also unclear if Curtatone will be charged with filing a false police report regarding the incident.

Maria Curtatone is sister to Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone who’s police department is conducting the investigation.

This case still remains under investigation while police interview dozens of witnesses.
