More rallies against the Sackler’s are coming soon. The Tuft University students are staging
a protest on May 2nd in front of the Tuft Sackler Graduate School of Biomedical Science located at 145 Harrison Ave. Boston at noon..
Tufts University has deep ties to the Sackler family, the Billionaire owners of Oxycontin. Not only have the Sacklers and their company, Purdue Pharmaceuticals, donated millions to Tufts, but these donations were used to push pro-opioid propaganda into the medical community.
Tufts have launched an internal investigation into its ties to the Sacklers. However, the results of the investigation will be kept secret, the man hired to run the investigation sits on a board of a pharmaceutical company fined 40 million for improper marketing and the misuse of patient data. This is unacceptable.
The Tuft students are now saying,” ENOUGH is ENOUGH.” They want the name gone and the influence as well. Bravo to these students, times are changing and more and more people are bringing the Sacklers to court.
There are over 2,000 lawsuits filed in courts all over the country, The Sacklers want to settle and why should we.
If Attorney General Maura Healey’s sticks to her promise Massachusetts will not settle . There certainly isn’t enough money in all their accounts to pay for all the damaged caused to the families that have lost loved ones and children. There are no price tags large enough to pay for the loss of my son.
We will not be bought , we would like jail time for all responsible.
