Mark Hall, Jr. – Of North Reading, formerly of Somerville, passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, May 17, 2026. He was 42 years young.

Mark was born, raised and educated in Somerville. He was an avid sports fan. If there was a game on television, you could find him either at home or at the 99 Restaurant cheering on his favorite team. He was a devoted fan of the New England Patriots, but his greatest passion was for the Boston Bruins.

Mark was known for his sense of humor and his ability to make any situation lighthearted. He loved making people laugh and brought joy to everyone around him with his quick wit and playful personality. Mark worked for the Somerville DPW and was known as a dedicated and hardworking employee.

When he was not working, Mark loved to travel, especially to Maine. He enjoyed exploring the hiking trails, taking in the beautiful scenery, and finding peace in the outdoors. More than anything, Mark cherished the time he spent with his beloved wife, Cristina. Whether traveling together, relaxing at home, or simply enjoying each other’s company, the moments they shared meant the world to him.

He also loved music and could often be found dancing along to his favorite songs by Led Zeppelin. Mark lived life with energy, laughter, and a love for the people and passions that meant the most to him.

Beloved husband to Cristina (Palladino) Hall of North Reading. Son of Mark Hall and the late Florence Gates. Devoted brother of Jenn Hall, Brittny Mammano and Krystal Whedbee and her husband Justin. Cherished son-in-law to Gerard Palladino and Gabriella Palladino. Loving brother-in-law to Jennifer Silva and her husband Kevin, Jessica Palladino, and Gerard Palladino, Jr. Nephew of Elaine Hannon, Deborah Hannon, Chrissy Shea and her husband John, Daniel Gates, Michelle Hall, and Karen Hall. Also lovingly survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members.

A prayer service will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Wednesday, May 27th at 11:00AM.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, May 26th from 4:00PM to 7:00PM.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mark’s name to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute , PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
