Reminder: Minibond Information Sessions with Neighborly Securities to be held ‪Tuesday, May 15‬, and ‪Wednesday, May 23‬

 

The City of Somerville announced last month that it will soon offer residents the opportunity to invest in Somerville’s future by purchasing minibonds. Minibonds not only allow purchasers to directly support the community’s collective goals by investing in the financing of some of Somerville’s capital projects, they also enable residents to earn tax-exempt interest.

TIME CHANGE: Parade steps off from City Hall at 3 p.m.

SOMERVILLE – The 2018 Somerville Veterans Memorial Parade is ready to go for another amazing tribute to our heroes on Sunday, May 20, beginning at 3 p.m. from Somerville City Hall. This will be second year that the parade has been moved from the traditional Sunday on Memorial Day Weekend slot to the Armed Services Weekend, celebrated during the third weekend in May. Somerville Arts Council and Somerville Media Center Partner on Cinema Somerville Outdoor Film Festival

ArtsUnion film festival celebrates local Somerville voices.

SOMERVILLE –  The Somerville Arts Council and the Somerville Media Center announce the third annual Cinema Somerville Outdoor Film Festsival, set for Saturday, May 19, from 8 to 9:30 p.m. This outdoor film fest in Union Square Plaza will feature short films about Somerville’s diverse voices. In the event of inclement weather, the film festival will be held inside Somerville Media Center at 90 Union Square Plaza.
